Consulting Services

Research, analysis, and strategic advisory on the Middle East

I provide independent consulting on Middle East politics, political and security risk, militant propaganda, authoritarian governance, human rights, and Arabic-language research. My work combines regional expertise, primary-source analysis, and more than fifteen years of experience across academic, policy, research, and editorial institutions.

I support organizations that need rigorous analysis, reliable research, and clear assessments of complex political and security developments.

Selected Experience

My professional experience includes directing militant propaganda research at the University of Chicago’s Project on Security and Threats, leading human rights and governance research at Democracy for the Arab World Now, and managing regional research and editorial programs at the Atlantic Council, Freedom House, and the Arab Gulf States Institute. My editorial and translation work has also supported the Global Women’s Institute at George Washington University.

I have produced analysis and briefed policy audiences connected to the U.S. National Security Council, the European Union’s counterterrorism working group, international organizations, research institutions, and leading think tanks. My research and analysis have been published in or cited by Foreign Affairs, CNN, and other international media outlets.

I am also the founder and editor of Bulletin from the Shadows, an independent publication focused on militant propaganda, extremist narratives, and the strategic communication of armed groups.
